Over the weekend I killed a few trees printing out all of the excellent directions here and in the advanced forum. I copied regular old iso to iso, then I was able to use DVD Decrypter to copy into IFO mode, and use IFOedit096 following MSCONGA's cut-n-dry splitting procedure.

Using that I did have to make a step "3a" where I had to click the "Create IFO's" button before I could load the VIDEO_TS file and select dvd play. Adding that step made everything work and I was able to put a movie that is less than 120 minutes on a single disc (when the original disc was more than 4.3g).

Then I tried a movie that was longer than 120 minutes. It took all day and another couple of trees worth of directions but I finally got a disc with the first half of a movie.

This morning I tried to use the same directions (not using IFO in dvd decrypter this time but the File and Decrypt options) to do the 2nd half of the movie and I've had no luck at all. NOt only can I not get the 2nd half of the movie, I now can't use the cut-n-dry directions either just to do a 90 minute movie. I keep getting a file on the dvd could not be opened in IFOedit096.

I didn't change any settings overnight, or even reboot, so I can't figure out what I'm suddenly doing wrong. NO matter what I do, when I do that step 3 select dvd play I get a file could not be opened. I've run out of ideas....
