Hi there!
I have an unmodded ps2 (slim one), and my Champions of Norrath game doesn't work anymore. I think it's too scratched or something.
It goes up to the first loading screen (before even starting the game) and it never starts.
Do you think a backup copy could help me skip the scratched sectors? (Swapping the original with a backup when the game hangs up, or something?).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

buy a new copy.
1. In ortder to make a back up the disc must be in fairly good condition for your DVD burner to read it
2. If i remeber correct that is a DVD9 (dual layer) game, and those discs are costly
3. You need to mod your system in order to play the back up, and the only mod that will work is having a good mod chip installed as the cheaper methods like Swap Magic can not play a DVD9 back up.

It will cost you less just to buy it. They have used copies at EB Games for $18
