So i've read around the forum for a definite answer to whether or not an external burner would work to burn Wii games on and couldn't find my answer. Some are saying any should work but is there anyone with first hand experience with a working external burner for Wii games? My burner on my laptop won't work, so I gotta resort to this.... Thanks in advance!!

I've got an external Samsung burner. I have burned a few Wii games with it and they run just fine. I just make sure to burn slow (2x or 4x) and use good quality media (such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden).

I don't see why external burners would be much different (compatibility wise) than internal ones, so you should be alright.
