what is up with the laggy respose time of the wiimote? its so frustrating in games like wii-golf.

whats with the sensitivity to any movement? i was playing wii-baseball and liking it until when i pitch, and sudden move at all pitches. and at the higher levels of skill im at, a fase fastball can ruin it all. i'm amd so infuriated with this.

why does my arm hurt? games shouldnt make me hurt. i guess playing wii often is out of the pic, over the days its strains and aches me, worse every consecutive day.

i wont mention graphics, but with a $250 dollar pricetag for $150 dollars worth of parts, even a $50 dollar upgrade still making $50 in profit would have help graphically very well, at little cost beside their own pocket.

how would you feel about finger groves in the wiimote? or a separate one with grooves if you want. i had the wiimote sliding up my hand pretty well. any word on how i can get the better wii strap?

overall, i like the wii for groups, but a majority of the games could be done using the sixaxis. atleast those without ir (and there are plenty for sure). plus, there are not that many games worth playing, and i dont mean worth playing here and there, i mean games to get "in" to. and whats with all the disney games? is nintendo doomed for that route again? mayebe the sales are doing well because there are so many children. but that can change, and so could my opinion in time if things change well. i'd rate the wii a 6.5/10.

please give feedbackk on this, i'm not asking for flamewars, its my honest opinion after owning a wii for some time.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

perhaps your battery is low, or you are too far away from the tv. you could try increasing the sensitivity.

like i said you could decrease the sensitivity if you want to. try to be right in front of the tv and face the same way as your wii.

hahahahaha i cant believe you are asking this question. your arm hurts because you are either trying to play the games too hard, swinging too hard or too much, or you are out of shape and need to work out. its simple, you work out a muscle a lot in one day, it becomes sore due to the lactic acid that builds up. if you rest for a couple of days, you wont be sore, if you play while sore then itll hurt.

true, but nintendo is trying to target the general population. most non-hardcore gamers do not really care for graphics, more on gameplay. that's why the wii is gaining immense popularity. also, it just wouldnt be a company if they didnt make profit where ever they can.

finger gloves could be interesting, ive thought about that concept before. if your wii strap is broken you can ask nintendo to replace it for you for free. if you want to tighten it, then you need to move that small square closer to your wrist.

the six axis could be sufficient however it is not as accurate as you moving your hand with ir technology. think about it, you want to move your courser up and to the right, youd have to tilt forever and then tilt again. using the wii, you can just use one hand.
true, games out right now are not THAT fun. but game producers are creating more games for the wii now, and since the wii has 'lower' graphics as you stated, developing wii games only take one year to finish, as opposed to ps3 and xbox 360 which take 2 years.

whew, done, my personal opinions. haha very interesting questions.

even with new batteries, it still has at least a .2 second lag. dying batteries cause horrific problems with lag. whats with the replaceable batteries? i though this died a long time ago.

it should register fast movements only for pitching. for you should have to push a button. anyways, this is purely a gameside issue.

i play games every day though, that is the thing. i largely believe its due to the wiimote not having the mass behind it a baseball bat or w/e has, and im swinging as if it did.

i appreciate when companies will take a hit for me, or atleast lightening up on caring for shareholders and themselves to please me. with the guise of "no one wants it better" then market cheaper parts for more than they are worth because they are still cheaper than the others, and people are ignorant of that fact. i just dont see this being worth the full price.

i just want the reinforced straps with a cable instead of twine. also, another complaint. that little plastic square does a horrible job at staying in place and doesnt do its job. it slides around like its caked in astroglide.

things like wiisports use the gyros in the wiimote, not the ir. the only thing using ir is boxing, and thats a maybe. bowling and baseball all work with the sixaxis. so far, the ir has dissapointed me with fps games. i love my analog sticks or a mouse.

Well then there is the answer right? youre swinging too hard. it wouldnt be practical if the remote had the same mass as a baseball bat, or even with an attachment (like those plastic clip on crap that they are selling, the ones that are shaped like a bat or a golf club)

yeah i would like that as well, but in this world, that comes second to shareholders. i agree with you that the wii isnt worth how much it is now, but then again, its still pretty cheap. if you want to say not worth its price, the new ps3, the 80 gig models, are actually cheaper to produce than the 60 gb models. that's why sony is selling the 60 gb cheaper, they are liquidating the 60 gb model. all companies try to produce cheap and sell high, that's just basic economic, supply and demand. eventually, the wii and the other consoles will lower the prices to what they are actually worth, once demand decreases. Ex: ps2 was first way too expensive. now is like what 129 bucks?

yeah, i know that wii sports uses tit sensitivity, my comment was moving the courser. i was playing mario party 8 and there is this mini game where i have to move the monkey left or right, using the gyro. let me say, id much rather they make it ir than gyro because it was such a bad movement. move too hard and the monkey swings to the left then back to the right and vice versa. personally, i think the combination of ir and tilt sensitivity is a good idea, however, through my experience, i believe that they should work on the tilt some more.

i'm thinking a lot of wii owners' are going to have carpel tunnel syndrome. i wasn't saying i'm swinging super hard, i was saying that that kind of swinging motion needs the bats weight or its strainful to the tendons.

im happier with my ps3 right now, but both are a little hard to want to invest in right now. theres still little good for either. the 360 has games, yes, but it doesnt look or function as good as the ps3 graphics and it doesnt have the newness factor of the wii's control.

my bottom line. we need a new console company. one who want to work with the consumer on investors pockets aswell as their own to creat a fantastic product all around.

everything is to anti-consumer these days. why dont people see the greed behind it and stop buying those products? or stand up against it and demand better. everyone works against us in a tightly knit clic of people who help each other succeed in business.

well i dont know about carpel tunnel because that is the movement of the fingers, if you use the remote to swing it shouldnt mess with it.

well i dont own a ps3, i own an xbox360 and i gotta say. i really like it. ive always been a sony boy, even got the psp, although i personally think sony lost it at the hand held. i believe both consoles are pretty good and ill probably end up owning all three. more because each console only has certain games that are specific to that console. each console has its strengths and weaknesses.

as much as i like your bottom line, i dont ever see that happening. companies may work with consumers however, the bottom line of that is that they want to make money. greed is human nature. everyone has that attribute. it would be nice to have a company create a good console solely for consumers, however, it would never happen.

people cant stop buying these products because its so incorporated into our own society. having the 'newest' electronic good is a must now, a status. we reap what we sow. we created a society that values those new stuff and now we are to integrated into it. sucks huh?

i do like having new things, and keeping status with the latest gear helps us get new things and discover new technologies. im sure some time someone rich will start a company for the good of the consumer. bu im sure the other vicious companies would find every way to dismantle him.
