I posted in the homebrew section aswell, sorry but im not 100% where to post.
My problem is im trying to boot "Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology" But when I do it askes me to update to firmware 3.30. Im emulating 2.71 (non flash) and if i go to press update it will begin to load the game then freeze and finally shut off.
Any help you could give would be great.
P.s. Dont tell me to downgrade or whatever because I have the psp (forgot the motherboard number) that cant be downgraded without a massive chance of bricking
Thanks =)
I would also like to know if there is a way i could emulate the 3.30 firmware =)
Dude, no matter what motherboard you have there is the same risk now. If you have a TA-082, which I'm sure that's what it is, you can use the 2.71 TA-082 Downgrader or the 3.03/3.50 downgraders. I think you should do so, and then update to custom firmware. I suggest 3.51 M33. The reason you can't update it is because you can't update form a firmware you aren't actually on. Plus, if you updated to 3.30 you wouldn't still be emulating, you would be non-homebrew able.
ok, im running firmware 2.71 and am gunna use the guide to downgrade to 1.5. After i do that, is there still any risk involved with upgrading to 3.51 m33?
And one more thing, whats the difference of 3.51 M33 and other custom firmwares?
Sorry :p Im a uber noob at this =)
P.s. If i were to "brick" it would wallmart take it back if i said a bogus story, or would i have to go to sony (another words, would i be screwed out of 230$?)
