alright, theres no ahrdware for 360's area so here goes, im not gonan go into detail until im allowed to, first of all id like the best chip...if you know what i mean, are we allowed to talk freely about those here? policy seems tight.

i noticed that, basically another top peice that can manipulate what the xbox accepts basically? such as accepting games i burn? is that really the way to go?

It tricks the console into believing that the game inserted is the correct type\brand of DVD like the originals.

well thats awesome! seems fairly simple too. im definatly gonna do that. what kind of media does 360 use? dvd-r double layer? right? i recently got a burner that supports all that double layer stuff.

I think they are DVD+R Dual layer.

Firmware is the way to go as it can be reversed and updated, unlike the chip. Just make sure you know what your doing before you attempt it, or get it done by a professional modding service.

360 Uses DVD+R DL and the most popular brand that has worked for people is Verbatim.
Unlike the original Xbox modding a 360 will only do one thing, play back up copies of your games. Nothing more.

Another nice mod that will help with common heat issues is getting a Talismoon fan upgrade installed. It is a stock fan replacement that has much better air flow then any other so called "360 cooler" they are selling out there. Plus it comes in several cool LED colors so your xbox will glow through the vents in dim light. Mine glows Xbox neon green of course :)

yeha i live about an hour from the llamma guys. im probably gonna have them do it, they will do it for free for me. the guy that likes 15 mins from me who modded my xbox idk what happened to him...which is bad. my HD went down in my xecuter 3 ce system, i have no clue AT ALL on how to get one of my blank HD's setup for that system....
