Hi, I have some AVI files that I would like to convert to DVD, around 10 files, ~40 mins each.

Currently, I'm using Nero to change to DVD. So far, I've only been able to put 3 files onto each disc. (40minX3files=120min)

however, i saw that my friend was able to put like 10 files onto a DVD, same length (40minX10files=400min). It's not raw video files either.

Does anyone know how to do that, / what program 2 use?

thxs.

Change either the Quality presets or the video bitrate manually.

In NVE3 the 'Super Long Play' setting will allow nearly 6 hours of video per disc (at Half D1 though). 'Extended Play' is good for almost 4 hours at Full D1.

Use this to figure manual bitrates.

no wonder....i just realized i've been using NVE1or2.

The newer the version, the more i should be able to compress, right?

No, all the NeroVisions have that ability to change the bitrate or the quality presets. Google for some guides/tutorials.

but if it's newer, will it have better quality compressing (on same bitrate)? If not, i'd just use the version i have right now, and save some $$.
