Wii Backups Game Disc Error

I have a question regarding Wii backups. I get the Game Disc Error message when I play Wii backups, but usually I just eject the disc and put it back in and I can keep playing from the same point in the game.

My question is this: Do you guys have flawless burns with no in-game errors or do you guys experience errors such as these in your backups?? If you guys have flawless burns, what might I be doing wrong then??

I have a Wiikey that was installed for me at drmodchip.com. I only copy NTSC games with Rawdump 2.0 and then burn them (using Imgburn) with my external Lite-On DVD burner onto authentic Taiyo-Yuden 8x discs at 4x speed. Is there any way to solve this error I get because in some games, its so bad that I just can't continue playing the game. I have experience in the PS2 modding scene and I would get these problems too.

From reading other posts, people suggest that media may be the issue, but it is my understanding that Taiyo Yuden is the best media (and they are authentic) so I don't think that it is the media, but who knows. Can it be the burner?? What burner/media setups do you guys use and do any of you use Lite-On DVD burners?? It would suck if I had to replace my burner.

Can anyone please offer some insight as to what I can do??

The first step is to try different media. I used Tayio Yuden media at first and would get the same results as you. This has also come up with some Verbatim users as well.

Once I changed media to Maxell DVD-R I stopped getting the DRE messages.

i use maxell 16x dvd -r burn @ 4x on my internal pioneer writer with imgburn

never had a dre
