I've searched the forums but cant find the answer
I have a bin file (SVCD) i want to burn, i have used win image to extract the dat file and have tried to play it but the screen is all blocky and messed up, i have tried loads of codec and folled all the steps as found in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608
but i still cant play the file... i can kinda hear the sound and it's not a fake, AVI codec and Gspot dont help either

can anyone suggest what i should do

does this mean i need the correct codec installed first?

1. To play a movie you need codecs installed before you even try to open the movie. Period. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608 is an awesome start so make sure your installation adheres to that as a minimum.

2. SVCDs are to be played in a software dvd player like PowerDVD or WinDVD, while WMP can play it, results may vary.

3. By the very nature of SVCDs, they will look blocky and messed up when you play them on a computer since a computer screen is so much sharper than a television. Watch it on a crappier screen (i.e, TV) and the quality "improves". Note that SVCDs are intended to be watched on TV, not computer.

4. Just because you kinda hear sound doesnt mean it isnt a fake.
