I am at 3.11 on my PSP and am trying to update to 3.51. I have also tried to update to 3.30,3.40 and 3.50 an I have been getting a message stating "The system configuration of your PSP system seems to be incorrect. The update can not be completed. Please contact technical support. DRNFFFFFFD7" I called tech support and they had no clue. I bought this stupid thing on ebay, and jerk removed the warrenty sticker, so I cant get an exchange. I really dont want to have to use any custom firmware. Can anyone offer any assistance?

I think Noobz is working on this. PSPs stuck on 3.10 and 3.11. Sony starting checking the Idstorage on the updates past 3.11. Your PSP was downgraded. To do this you need to corrupt some Idstorage keys to run 1.50. Sony now checks to see if this has been done, therefor you can't update to a new firmware. The only way to go around this is to go down to 2.71 and fix your Idstorage and fix the 0x00005 key, but that's not possible on your PSP.
oh well they helped me but i gues they aint wanna help you
you could trade it in or got to a gamestop, etc and buy a used or new one put your old one in the box and make sure you switch the serial key on the bottom then take it back and say what ever the prob is they should take it back and give you your money baq

I can't do that. Just because this guy on ebay screwed me doesnt justify doing it myself. Is that how you got them to take it ro did they just not give you any prblems? The tech support guy is the one that would not help. Did you call tech support or a different number?
