Help -- Sony DCR SR32E and Arcsoft Showbiz

I use Showbiz to create DVDs of home movies. Works fine for VHS and 8mm camcorder vidoes which I've digitised. But, when I import video files recorded on my new DCR SR32E I can't get any sound. The sound has been recorded and plays fine in Windows Media Player (although I had to download AC3 filter to get sound). Can anyone advise?
