sorry people but this is doing my head in i just got this box and everthing is like it said except i can't seem to to tune itv1 channel4 rte1 rte2 tg4 all these channels run on the same freq 498250 qam64 6887 iknow this as i checked it with my neighbour who is getting all these channels i have checked and treble checked cables i have done about ten resets and rescans i've done man/scans i bet its somthing silly thanks again but this is driving me crazy

tried that mate no joy do you reckon this is just tuning problems or could it be something else eg; something with box or codes by the way thank you for your help

check ur codes against the most recent ones
just click on my name and goto 'Main Starview Thread'
it is not your box. maybe its a prob in your area !

if you meant the keys they are fine do you reckon it is the codes i flashed to the box from the disc i got with it could cause this problem and would it do any harm to flash it again with the latest codes i d'ont think its a problem in the area as my mate next door gets all his channels thats why its so annoying

You could try flash it again , have you a clone or genuine box and what version is currently installed . go to Menu . system information and tell us what api is installed

it reads the box pvr dual record pvr e-ver 4.000,8 june 2007 and as far as i am aware its a genuine box

you wouldnt have flashed codes from a disk . codes are got by the receiver using the firmware on the box.
Normaly if you are missing some channels it means that
1) there is a prob in area
2) one or two digits in your codes could be wrong
I would try a manual scan then hit downfrequency then go to all channels to see if they came in !
if not , start from scratch , reflash, autoscan again.

I think it might be something to do with the PVR loader or firmware , what loader did you use to flash the box
