Help WiFi update for YDL

Ok... so I was tryin to update my Yellow Dog Linux to get WiFi and followed these directions:

turns out, when i try to save teh edited .conf file, i get an error message that displays "Error while moving items to "/etc". You do not have permissions to write to this folder.

How can i get this problem fixed?

Are u logged in as root? That could be the problem.

okay well when it ask for username at login type root and remember when u were installing it asked u to create a root password type that in as ur password then log in it is the same thing as having administrator rights in windows but im almost positive thats the problem
