I have to use a different brand for each individual game. I have to trial and error to determine which disk plays. I am tired of making many many coasters. I have TDK -R, Ridata -R, and Maxwell +R. Is there a media that works consistently with my wiiKey wii?? Has anyone else experience this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I actually tried Verbatims also and still no luck. I have a pretty old burner (maybe 6 years old). Could that be the problem??

I use Memorex and Sony DVD-R's with 100% success. As far as your burner being the problem... it "might" be possible. It is something you could consider replacing (a decent burner will set you back maybe $50 or so - I use an LG-GSA4167B and a Lite-On LH-20A1S)

I use Sony DVD+R burned on a Lite-on 20A1P. I just installed my Wiikey about a month ago but so far no DRE or any other issues.

I just tried my friends burner and my blank dvd it still did not work. I tried using fuji dvd-r that he had and it worked. My dvds are printable and his were not. Does it make a difference or was it just a coincidence???

I use Sony dvd-R at 1x burn speed. I haven't had a coaster yet. I use a lite-on dvd burner. I was having this problem for a long time. It's really worth it to invest some money in decent media.

Taiyo Yudens. PS2's are even more picky and, most of the time, only TY's work. TY's worked on my (and couple of my friends') Wii on the first try.
