Help my wireless connection on the 360 was working fine up untill yesterday and has now stopped working there is a red light on the wirless antena I can still play using a dsl cable but the wirless is not any ideas anyone as its a pain in the arse running the cable to it!!!!
do you have a static ip address given to your xbox? if you have it set up to where the xbox goes out and gets its own ip address from the router it could be why its not working.
i had the same issue with the ps3 where it was working for a while and then i could never connect. once i gave it its own ip address in the settings it works perfectly fine.
With networking it could be any number of things. Both of the things above could be causing it. I would go with setting up the static IP address first as it is easy to do.
If you do not know then do this:
Go to start->run and type CMD
at the Dos command prompt type ipconfig/all
this will give you all of the information you need so write it down (ip address, subnet mask, default gateway and DSN servers)
Then go to your connection settings on the Xbox, change it to static (or manual) and enter the information. Also if you have security on the router enabled check the router set up page and make sure it did not reset for any reason, if it did then the key will change and nothing wireless will connect.
and if you have a wireless router, and do not have it set up to be secure and use WEP or WPA security, then shame on you. As your neighborhood is probably sharing your connection as we speak.

can't say thanks enough for helping me out on that as I wouldn't have a clue how to do it on mt own! Newbie... anyway got the wirless up and running and wasn't as bad as I thought steimy your suggestions worked a treat as it was the problem but thanks again everyone as it was panic time with out connection to xbox live!!!!
