I'm a new user. Well, i tried searching in afterdawn but i still cant find answers to my question

i am running 3.40 OE-A. but when i try to run recovery mode (booting my psp while holding the R trigger <-- hope thats correct) it just boots up to the normal screen.

do i need to have any special folders in my memory stick? if not whats the problem? any form of help is appreciated.. thanks

Recovery menu should loadup without any special folders. Make sure:
1. You are on 3.40OE, I know you said you are, but just check to make sure it's not 3.40 official firmware. If it's OE, it will say OE under system settings.

2. Make sure you shut down your psp fully, before accessing recovery.

3. Make sure your R shoulder button works.

#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe

Ok. My problem was >>> not turning off my psp fully..

i guess i needed explanation on "fully" <--- to hold the power button. ok i think im a joke.

but thanks to you, im able to access the recovery mode now.. god bless
