I have the Samsung TS-H9443 drive, f/w ms25, and I am going to flash it when my new SATA card arrives. My question is concerned with which firmware should I use. I don?t plan on going onto Xbox live again, but I understand that if you go the extra mile you can burn the discs in stealth mode and with bypass current MS detection. I have iXtreme firmware 1.2 Rev C for TS-H943 and the Xtrem 5.2 a/b/c/d. but I don?t understand a/b/c/d. if I did use the Xtrem 5.2 which rev. should I use? The stealth mode sounds like a hassle without a Samsung burner. I am looking for maximum compatibility.

If you are not going to go on live, then any firmware is fine, but its best to use iXtreme 1.2 Rev.C if you want to play online, as it doesn't allow booting of non stealth backups.
About the Xtreme 5.2 fw, the a/b/c/d at the end of each firmware just alters the drive read speed for originals and backups, it does not have anything to do with different revisions, theres no different apart from reading speed. The readme file that comes with the fw tells you how the speed differentiates with the versions.
