OK so today I played Mario Stikers PAL for the first time on my NTSC-U wii. At first the disc channel was blank but after an update it said Mario Strikers etc. So if I use Wii BB will games from different regions have a blank disc channel or what?

When playing a game disc that has an update on it you will get the update image instead of the game image at first. After the update you then will start seeing the game image in the disc channel.

WiiBrickBlocker disables the update on the game disc. So the game image will show up in the disc channel instead of the update image because WiiBrickBlocker disabled the update and the update will no longer be applied.

I'm confused about this too. Is this program just a safety precaution? Like should I do it to all isos? I'm using a 1st generation American wii. Also, should I be worried about updating my wii with a wiikey in it?

your best bet is to update your wii through the options menu without a game in the drive. So you will get your regions update. You only need to run the brick blocker if you plan to play a game from another region like PAL or NTSC-J.
