I have a SCPH-39001 and SCPH-30001R. I am going on a long trip and I wanted to be able to play some of my PS2 games on my PC. I am using Pcsx2. How would I do this. I have the BIOS files but how would I set it up. I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 with a Core2Duo 2.0Ghz/2GB RAM/ATI X1400. How would I set it up? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Did you even read the guide they have at the website?

It's pretty good.

You will need to either rip your game or just play off the disc. I find playing off the hard drive is more reliable.

I found the guide and I followed it. Now the games run but they run really slow (FPS around 50) This time I tried it on a Celeron D 2.93/1GB/ATI 9800 PRO. Is my computer not powerful enough or is the slow speeds normal?

Celeron are well....junk processors, sorry dude, someone had to say it.

Yes, this ps2 emulator requires a lot of power, its incredible. You need at least a dual core, and a badass video card.

Even at that, some people with core 2 duo's and geforce 7800 GT can struggle in games sometimes too.

Your best gameplay is to play on ps2. Some games work very well on the emulator (like marvel vs capcom 2), but others will make your machine crawl.

Check game compatability list to see what is available.

I actually love the Celeron processor. The price I payed for it ($10) and the performance I get out of it is amazing. It plays FEAR on low settings fine and games like Quake 4 at medium and NFSU2 and GTA San Andreas at high with no lag at all. Best of all, it stays cool 30C idle and 45C peak 50C at a 100% constant load. This processor is in my most stable computer.

So, I won't be able to play PS2 games on my PC, no problem just got a TV tuner to do it. How about PS1 games? Do they require that much power to run? Would they run on a Core2 @ 2GHZ/2GB RAM/ATI x1400 (E1505 Laptop)?
