Sounds like it's a movie that Shrink can't handle the copy protection on. Since it hasn't been updated in a few years there are quite a few it can no longer handle by it's lonesome.

Rip w/ DVDFab HD Decrypter 1st then open those files in Shrink. DVDFab is still updated to handle the latest stuff.

Now that I have downloaded DVD Fab HD Decrypter , it now comes up at 24.04% mark of the movie Ghost Rider, "error in reading", with a Ignore, Abort or Retry. I hit retry but keeps stopping at this point, any suggestions.

If it were me and the read error keeps happening at the same spot, I'd check the physical condition of the disc and if nothing is visible, do a read scan to eliminate the possibility of a bad press. Smudges and fingerprints can cause read errors. So, make sure the disc is clean and polished when playing it. I backed up my copy of Ghost Rider and it was an easy job. I didn't see anything that should cause DVDFab HD Decrypter a problem. I used RipIt4Me when I did the backup though. As far as I know, all the top decryption programs worked okay with Ghost Rider.

Just to add to pacman's post if you have another drive that you can use to rip try that one too. Some are better then others at ripping the 'bad' spots.
