I've scanned through these forums, tons of guides on tons of sites to try and make an exploit cd. I currently have a fat PS2 and a HDD with network adapter. I want to try and load HD Loader off my MC by use of PSX cd exploit (not sure if this terminology is correct). I have used the Independence installer as well as compiling my own BIN's with other programs.
My problem currently is, I've burned around 5 cd's using different methods and none of them load with the Swap Magic 3.0 CD. The Swap Magic CD loads fine, but when I swap with the exploit cd, it doesn't load. I've had 3 different results.
1. The cd sounds like it's reading, the sides of the screens turn reddish, and the cd stops spinning (usually when no dummy file is present on the cd)
2. The sides of the screen immediately turn red, but it sounds like the machine is still reading. The cd isn't spinning, and I've left it on for a good 5 minutes in case it was reading slow. (this happes when there is a dummy file.
3. The most rare case is that the screen will change to a red (no longer the swap disk UI) but then nothing happens.
I've burned these cd's on low speeds and everything, but it still doesn't load. Is there anything else I could do? I feel like it may also be that I'm creating the exploit cd incorrectly. I do not own retail copies of HD Loader/ Advanced. Only swap magic. My ps2 is also a version 5 ps2.

Thx for the reply. I tried using what u suggested, but the same thing happened. The sides of the screen turned red after I swapped in the exploit disk, and nothing loaded.
Here's what I did to make the exploit
Under the TitleDB tab, I used the Final Fantasy Origins game ID
Loader I left as it was
Files, I uploaded HDLoader 8.0B Elf
IP, no network, Region NTSC and I made a 200 MB dummy file.
After this, I made the cue file and burned it at 4x speed with Nero.
