I just bought a psp on ebay with fw 340 oe-a and several games. the included game's isos also came on a dvd. the mem stick that came with it has been formatted and it's blank.

How can i play the isos so i don't have to lug all the games around?
I have read about the iso folder, but i'm not sure of the exact file structure to put on the stick. What folders must i create to put the isos in?

Thanx!

hey bomer,

you haVe them on a DVD?

like a DVD-R?

then what you need to do is:

put the DVD in your computer.

open the DVDs containing folder. (where it shows you all the files that are on the DVD. you might have to open this from My Computer)

now, you should see a place that has alot of CSOs and ISOs. it might be in a folder, it might be in the root. so just look for files with the format/filetype: thenameofthegame.CSO or thenameofthegame.ISO

now you need to hook up the PSP to the computer via USB. if you do not have one, or one that works with the PSP, then you need to buy one at walmart for a few bucks (or less) or get a duo stick to SD card converter that will allow you to hook your card directly to the computers SD reader. (if it has one).

once your hooked up, turn on the PSP, and goto USB mode. then, on your computer, just open the folder, OR goto my computer and open your external drive. (on my computer its the (J) drive) youll see in the root of the card: PSP,MUSIC,VIDEO,ISO....etc.

you need to click and drag the game of your choice (ISO or CSO) into the ISO folder of the memory card. (usually on ebay they sell fake duo sticks. so you might need to buy a new one if this doesnt work.)

depending on how big your card is, or how many games you want to have on the card, just drag and drop from the root of the DVD, to the ISO folder, located in the root of the memory card.

now exit USB mode BEFORE pulling out the USB. then goto game, and select memory stick duo.

your ISOs should show up!

just press X and play away!!

hope this helps dude. :)

Hey lordofuo, Thanks for the reply.

I checked the mem stick and it is totally blank. there are no folders at all, not even ms_root. I am going to have to rebuild to the folder structure. The guy I bought it from is making it hard to run any homebrew. I need to know what folders i need to create on the stick.

I have downloaded a few emulators and I have heard that they go into a game150 folder. What folder does game150 go into? And where in the file hierarchy do i put the iso folder?

mp_root, sorry.

I have another mem stick(1gb sandisk) from my old psp that died. It had official 2.82 on it and I didn't use it for homebrew. This is all new to me. It has the regular file structure on it, but I'm going to have to create any extra folders that are normally created when installing 340 oe-a.

The stick that came with the new psp is 4gb sony. I checked it on the computer with my old adapter and it's completely blank. I would like to just copy everything on the old one onto the new, but I need to know what extra folders there are for 340 oe.

ALRIGHT, sorry about the confusion.

I just got the idea that I should format the new stick with the psp. All the folders are there now. Now I just have to copy my gamesaves n stuff over from the old one.

lol. ok.

yeah you just had to format. it creates the folders you need for the Firmware for you!

so after your format a card with your 3.40 OE psp, youll have an ISO folder. then i think my really really long first message should tell you the rest. :)

glad i could help.
