hi i am trying to copy my dvd collection at home. that away i dont have to worry about damaging my dvds and not having a back up.. i was wondering what is the best way to get past the copyright on the dvds so i can copy them? thanks to anyone that can help.

It has downloads and very good guides for most of the popular
software.
I like AnyDVD(purchased), Shrink(free), and Imgburn(free). I also
occasionally use FabDVDDecrypter(free) instead of AnyDVD. Have not
see the movie these combinations won't do.
AnyDVD runs in the backgroung to unencrypt the movie while Shrink
writes an ISO file to your harddrive. Shrink shrinks the movie to
fit on a single layer disc. Imgburn burns the file to disc.
Personally I like to do the movie only because it uses less
compression, but the programs can be done either way.

Cause most DVD movie are encrypted( CSS Copy right protected), you will need to have a 3rd party DVD copy software to help you, take a look at this unbiased and detailed comparison chart of top 5 DVD copy softwares , 1 Click DVD copy is the best and works great for me.
