C139 not working in India

Hi,
I have an unlocked Moto C139 that I unlocked when I was in the USA. The carrier originally was Cingular. After unlocking I tried different carrient SIM and it worked fine. Now I am on vacation in India and when I try to use any SIM card here it does not seem to work. I only get a "Searching for Network" message and nothing more. Can someone help me. Thanks in Advance.

I finally figured out that band on this phone was 850/1900 and not 900/1800 as required in India. Now I need to figure out how to change the band. Any help anybody?
