sorry this is my first time in using this...
sorry to be a retard....^^but i'm not sure what to do...

i have a DivX player and they dont play
.xvid files...and i downloaded Xvid Coder (Koepi's 04102002 bin) from this one site...
and now its on my computer...but i'm not sure what to do with it? shows that i download are mostly .xvid files and i went through many sites to look for the xvid decoder and try to understand how to use the program...but so far i am getting confused and no where...and isnt sure how to use the program...

i hope this explains it...

Are you sure the extension is *.xvid and not *.AVI?

Anyways all you need to do is install the appropriate codec and then play your movie in your player.

Best solution is to download and install FFDShow. Itll play almost anything.

As far as I know, the DivX Player that comes with the divx codec cant play xvid files unless you change the fourrCC, of course I could be wrong. Use another player to play your xvid files like WMP or zoomplayer.

EH...maybe its not a xvid player...i probably read it wrong...but how knows...this is where i found the player...?

Technically all players are xvid players if they can playback movies encoded with the xvid codec.

But this player seems to be created mainly for xvid playback. From your last post, it seems that the player is capable of decoding xvid content without the need of an xvid codec, much like the Official DivX Player.
