winhiip corrupts hard drive

I pretty much getting mad now. Everytime i try to install a game using winhiip it corrupts the partition and wants to make it a toxic os. I knew this would happen because it has happened before so i started out with the 1.3 version and then went to 1.7.6 which tried to make it toxic os. Now if i stick it is my ps2 it still shows my games. This is because when it said do you want to fix the partitions i said no so it left it alone. Does anyone know a program that isn't not a piece of S*** and can read a 160gb hd using a ide to usb enclosure device?
