v15 ps2 won't play ANYTHING

I installed a modchip recently. Everything installed fine. No bridges, good connections. I read up a lot on this before i installed it and I found that v15's didn't need a laser fix. Anyway, I started to play a backup game and it was playing fine. Then it froze at a loading point. I reset it and now it won't read ANYTHING. PS2 games, DVDs, nothing. The only thing i could think of is the laser burned out, but v15's dont have to have a laser fix....What could be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I had the same thing happen to me, I re-opened and found a loose connection, resoldered and away I went, hopefully it's that easy for you.
