HELLO, my beloved sony harddrive and dvd recorder has gone mental. when turnt on says welcome and thats it... blank screen then after about 2 mins it trys to turn on again and says the welcome again but thats it again. i get no responce from the buttons on front or from the remote??

will new firmware help with this???
should i try loading the current firmware on???

or any other suggestions... hellllllllllllllllllllp!!!
