Is my PSP bricked?

I am sorry if you have read a thread like this before, but here is me scenario:

I was playing Madden 07 on my PSP when I decided to quit. I pressed the home button and answered "yes" to quit the game. I than saw a screen that said "please wait..." This is common, but it froze like that for a while. I took out the battery and put it back in, but now it won't turn on.

Can anyone please help me?

EDIT: I am not running a custom firmware, I am using 3.50.

Yes, it's probably bricked. or u can try to Recharge ur battery and try. if that doesn't work then well its bricked, just return it to where ever u bot it from with the garentee(Well the garentee will be there unless u took it off from the place where the battery goes and tried to open ur psp lol,) and reciept. just tell them that ur psp stoped working because of a umd game error and they'll give u a new one or ur money back.

No, it just turns to a black screen, but the back light turns on.
