I have VHS tapes I converted to DVD's on a Panasonic recorder and ended up with playable DVD's. Yahoo! I then put the files from the DVD's, I tried every way possible, into my computer running Vista Home Premium so I could edit them in the Movie Maker program. The files are VOB files. They should be both the audio and the video needed. I don't believe I found in my reading that Vista supports VOB files even though they are really mpeg files. I changed the end of the file from .VOB to .Mpeg. The icon changed on the file but nothing changed as far as the Movie Maker program is concerned. I can play video fine, but there is no audio. Without audio I can't edit and probably wouldn't have useable DVD's when I finished. Any help would be great.
