Duo 3 Modchip Problem

Hello, I recently just got my PS2 modded with the "Duo 3 Gold". In the first few days it was working ok, however, recently the game I been playing freezes. For example during some loading screen it takes a long time to load or sometimes it doesn't load at all. I'm not sure what is the problem but if some of you know how to fix it I appreciate it. The PS2 either version 4-6, I'm not sure which one exactly. All I know is that it have a total of 8 screws on the bottom. Thanks for any of your helps.

what type of DVD's are you using. It could be as much a problem with those as the chip.

I'm mostly using sony dvd or philip dvd. But mainly sony dvdr
