My gran just got sky+, and i noticed it has a USB slot, I have no idea what this could be for, and the manual has no metion of it. Could someone please put this question tosleep, so i can rest easy.

The USB ports may carry a current, but that's all (for the moment) - you will not be able to see the contents of the hard drive, and even if you could you would not be able to play back the content as it is recorded as an encoded stream and unencrypted by the Sky box at the point you play it back.

So sorry they have got a USB port but this is unused at the moment.

I think it could be used for a keyboard, but other than your idea, thats it.
