hey guys i have just put the wiikey into the unmodifiable wii (pain...)
now mi iso works fine...
what is the whole deal with the disk setup?
do i need it and why?

It would be pointless to put a Wiikey in a unmodifiable wii. Guess it isn't so unmodifiable.

The true unmodifiable Wii system is 1 that has the D2C chipset.

The setup disc has some homebrew on it and will also let you modify the settings Read Speed/Region Overide etc. etc.

I would suggest reading up on the "Do's and Dont's" of a modded Wii system.

All that information can be found in this forum.

Try reading some of the stickies and other threads that have been created. A little reading will go a long way.

and i am familiar with it i was just wondering if removing the region restraint will contribute toward not bricking my wii...
