i was loooking to upgrade my bros psp at 2.81 to 3.03 sony firmware. how do i do it

Well you should probably not be messing with your brothers PSP then....It looks like you are attempting to downgrade perhaps? You obviously dont know what you are doing..I would recommend doing some research first before you end up turning that psp into an expensive paperweight..
In any event, you put the eboot in the GAME folder on your memory stick and run it from the psp menu..

Sorry to sound harsh, but you really need to read up on some tutorials before diving in head first....and use the search function!
