I have some store bought games that I'd like to backup. A friend flashed my XBOX360 with EXTREME firmware, I don't know which version :( Anyway I bought the Samsung SH-D162C with KREON V0.81 and a Pioneer 112D. I managed to make a backup of FEAR using the Samsung drive and XBOX360 Backup Creator 2.5.
This is where I'm stuck, I need help badly because three of my Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB discs are now coasters :'(
I read something about using SS Merger 1.5o to add some kind of .bin file to the .iso? Is this true? If so can I extract the SS files my self from the game or where can I download them?
Is it possible that my XBOX360 can play "RAW" dumps?
My coastered discs were thx to ImgBurn, it wrote I think "lead-out"? and then stopped and didn't do anything :'( I read something about adding some numbers to something in ImgBurn options or something layerbreaker or breakerlayer :S
I have CloneCD is that maybe better? Why do I get a .iso and a .dvd, which do I burn?
Enough of my BS, bottom line I have Samsung SH-D162C with KREON V0.81 and a Pioneer 112D how do I make a backup that my Extreme FW can read?
how to set layer break in IMGburn: (you need to do this!!!)
tools-->settings-->write-->layer break. Check user specified and set it to 1913760. Click ok and burn as normal. This is only necessary the first time burning a 360 game
No, the SS file is ripped as well when using Xbox Backup Creator with the Samsung flashed with Keron's FW. Beofre burning to a disc, use XDVDMulleter to check your ISO file. Download the program and load it up. Then click "View ISO details" then you click browse and select your ISO file. You then click next and if the box where it says "IXtreme compatible" is checked you're good to go.
yeah, use dvd mulleter, but note: it's known to show images as stealth, then you burn them it says it's not stealthed, but just disregard the disc stealth check, as it is not always accurate, if your origional image is stealth, you're good to go!
Ok thanks everybody I got it working, SWEET! :D I hope this thread will help other people in my position. BTW: I just downloaded the demo for Lost Planet it looks really good.
