Under the BD/DVD Audio Output Format either HDMI or Optical Cable there are two setting you can have and they are: Bitstream or Linear PCM. I was wondering what the difference between the two are.

Bitstream is for optical cables so you can get DD or DTS output. Linear PCM is for HDMI.
