I am currently using
DVD43 * to remove copyright
DVD Shrink
ImageBurn

I am having a problem opening any type of movies that I download online, I don't know if its a format problem or what...If it is a format prob, how do I go about changing the format?

The files you have are probably WinRAR and need to be un-packed. The files that are left (AVI) need to be converted to a DVD compliant format. Does this sound kinda-like what's going on? or have you already got past all this?

A free converter to try is called SUPER, you can get it here

Once the file/s has been converted (made DVD compliant), shrink will have on problem opening them.
