i'm running 3.40 oe-a i have no idea why...but my iso's won't open now...just goes blank...so i went to recovery mode (L-trigger thing) and pressed on the configuration...just that it won't open and the screen goes blank...the only thing i recall from since it last worked was i plugged my psp into my ps3 for the first time...could this be the factor?

wat does flash1 deleting have to do with recovery lol.

if u delte your flash1 then you will get a RSOD/BSOD which ultimtily leads to a restoring to defualt settings. <---- aka instead of delting your flash1 just do a "restore to defualt settings"

okay well have u tried any other part of your recovery... the fat that u can get into recovery is good... try going into the CPU section for example. if u keep getting blank screen then just simply re flash your FW..

touran, nobody knows why but simply deleting a file in flash1 fixes the problem. it cant be explained, but it works. i forget the name of the file, though, so i cant tell him the exact name.

delting a file in flash 1 fixes the problem of a blank screen in recovery... were did u get this info lol?

thats the strangest thing ive ever heard.... rstoring to defualt settings re news all flash1 files so he should try that.

also flash1 only keeps files such as date and time etc... nothing to do with recovery settings...

If you are able to get into recovery mode-you should see about getting the 1.50 recovery winstaller eboot..Hopefully you can at least access that in recovery-Sounds like you will need to reflash your firmware in any event..Something may have become corrupted along the way..You can try deleting the config.se in flash1-but that will just clear your settings like the clock, and language, etc..Which the psp will just regenerate anyway.

Well I am glad that we were able to solve the mystery of what the effects of either deleting the config.se file from flash1, or simply restoring the default settings does...I imagine that the person who posted this thread is seriously confused at this point...

This is what I personally would do, as I have ran into similar situations on a number of occasions myself by constantly messing around with different themes and such on my psp's...

1)Google 1.50 recovery winstaller..it comes in a easy winstaller that runs from your computer and it puts the necessary files into your memory stick, so you can get your psp back to 1.50 firmware, and start fresh.
2)Once you have installed the files from the winstaller to your psp, go into recovery mode on your PSP, and then you will select the second option in the main menu just beneath "configuration"-go ahead and select the "Run Program at/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP"-this will flash your firmware back to 1.50, then you can reflash with your 3.40OE-A

I imagine, like I said before that something became corrupted along the way when you hooked up your psp to the PS3...But give that a try anyway..it should work best for you.
