First thing, I am a psp noob. I got my psp today. I thought downloading and PLAYINGISO games was really easy. Well I found out that they wont work with my firmware version(2.60).
I searched lots of forums trying to find a solution but, I didnt find anything useful. If somebody knows what I should do to be able to play ISO and CSO games please help me Im feeling so helpless because that is not what i expected from a $200+tax(LOL) product. I asked my friend about this and his said i need to downgrade my firmware to an earlier version(1.something)Please tell me if I should do that. If you can, give me links where I can download a downgrader and other programs that are needed. If possible, provide screenshots on how to downgrade. Ty.

Need help with downgrading my firmware(2.60) Pm me if you know how. :P

You will want to downgrade your PSP. The link below is the ultimate guide on how to do so; it'll even supply all of the files that you need. (You will have to upgrade to 2.71 before you can downgrade, though. Put THIS file inside of (x:)PSP/GAME/UPDATE on your PSP and run it from your PSP's menu.)

http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t-guidethe-ultimate-downgrader-guide-90916.html

Now, to play iso's after you downgrade, you will need to upgrade to a Custom Firmware; this is an unofficial firmware made by a coder not affiliated with Sony. The best one, in my opinions, is 3.40 OE-A, it's tested and more stable than most other Custom Firmwares.

A download to get it is at http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1134.

After you download the file, hook up your PSP to your computer and run the application. It'll install all of the files onto your PSP that you need to upgrade. After it's finished, unplug your PSP and scroll over to the game section of your memory stick. Run the 3.40 OE-A Firmware Installer. (NOTE: there will be a corrupt icon; don't delete it because the installer needs it to run.)

After you upgrade, format your memory stick and then put the ISO files inside of (X):/ISO, where (X) is your PSP drive.

Update to firmware 2.71, download it from here
Place unzip/rar the update and rename it to EBOOT.PBP and place it in this folder; PSP->GAME->UPDATE->(put the EBOOT.PBP here)
Check what type of motherboard you have. The odds are you have a TA-082 but check anyway here
Then If you do have a TA-082 use this downgrader.
If you don't have a TA-082 then use this downgrader.
Then if all is successful you need to update to Custom firmware. Get 3.52 M33 from here
Read the readme and do everything correctly. The update maker takes forever just to let you know.
Once you are completely finished format your memory stick and it will create an ISO folder.

EDIT: He beat me to it.. Damn.

Hi. I updated to 2.71. And now Im trying to downgrade to 1.50 using this guide: http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t-gui...uide-90916.html

When I get to step number 3:Entering the HEND folder, my PSP freezes and I have to take out the battery.
If I skip this step, and go to GAME menu and try to run the 1.50enabler folder It says: Data Corrupted. Please help me do these steps.
