I don't understand why my IBM laptop CDRW burner produced 4 coasters. My computer is Pentium M (Dothan) 1.7, 768 RAM with a 24 CDRW burner with DVD reading capability.

I'm assuming you're running WinXP. You can just right click the folder(s)/file(s) you want to burn, choose 'Send To', then click the CDRW drive from the Send To menu. When the ballon pops up by the clock, click it and follow the prompts. Be sure to have a blank in the drive before the first right click and all should be well. Or you can use CDBurner XP Pro 3 - it's freeware and GREAT for burning data CD's and DVD's, burns a mean music/MP3 CD also....
