I put my game in and it spins for a second and then I get the dreaded "no data". Why will it only spin for one second then give up and say no data? How do I get it to spin for longer then one second?

If your easy with opening the PS2, post back and I will give you instructions on adjusting your laser and re-installing the laser cable.

I'm having a similar problem, my ps2 will read only cd's and ps1 games, but it will no longer read dvd's and/or ps2 games. I am comfortable with opening up the system, if you could help I would appreciate it.
