I've been thinking lately about games like ID's Quake and DOOM that have had ports to PSP-compatible homebrew so they can be played straight on the PSP. I've played around with the two classics and I think they're brilliant to play (especially DOOM as they is no y-axis on the 'free-look', useful for the single analogue nub).

It baffles me as to how it is the creators of these homebrew PC ports actually got all the information across that they did. I might look into it a bit more once I've got some free time.

What I'd like to know about is the basics for getting a simple game originally created to run on the PC over to the PSP. I use my PSP a lot and am always on the look out for clever new apps and homebrew-related stuff, and would be interested to learn more about how the PSP actually understands the homebrew.

So if anyone would like to share experiences with PC-to-PSP games and applications, go for it because I'd love to know more! :)
