hi everyone. i am a definite newbit to this. this is what i have amd 2400xp, 512 ddr, pioneer a06 dvd burner, pinnacle studio av/dv version 8, ulead movie factory 2, and nero 6. this is what i want to do. i want to use studio 8 to author my avi and mpeg files. add menu's etc....then i want to make a disc (pinnacle lingo) to my hard drive. after doing this studio 8 creates a dvd folder with a video_ts folder and a whole bunch of other files and folders. these other files/folder are my menu bmp's and sound files. when i open up nero 6 there are two folder audio_ts and video_ts. studio didnt create an audio_ts folder so i am not sure what goes in there. most of the video_ts files created by studio 8 will go into the nero video_ts folder but a few of them nero wont accept. what do i do with all the other files that studio creates. i have made about a dozen coasters and dont wish to make any more. i tried to use studio to do everything but it never works correctly when it goes to burning the disc. i just got ulead movie factory 2 and havent sat done to figure it out yet. i have read that alot of people that use studio 8 burn the dvd info to hard disk and then use nero to create the dvd. any help with this would be greatly appreciated....thanks

A Real DVD Image is either an ISO file and IMG file or a Video_TS Folder and an Audio TS folder, The Audio_TS Folder is usually empty so it usually isn"t needed...So when you are makeing a DVD only the Video_TS Folder gets Burned to disk unless you are Makeing a Hybrid DVD But that wouldn"t apply here...What I would do is Use a Real DVD authoring Program and Import your Mpeg Video and your Images and Make the DVD From Scratch from inside the DVD authoring Program..And No I wouldn"t call any Program that Pinnacle Makes a Real DVD authoring Program as Most of there software is Pretty Mickey Mouse accept for a Few Choice Programs ...I would sugest something like Sonic DVD Producer or Sonic DVDit to Author your DVD.......Cheers

PS: if you don"t know were to find these Program then e-mail me and I"ll send you a Link to download them....
