I'm constantly getting lagged out of Halo2 multiplayer.... HELP

I play halo2 multiplayer on my original xbox. I can log in fine and start a game in multiplayer and everything. So the problem is, whenever I'm playing in multiplayer it will all of the sudden cut out and a message will come up and offer 2 choices; "Start Troubleshooter" or "Cancel". This happened to me like 10 times last night. Any advice?? Just FYI...I bought this XBOX "used" from EbGames, the XBOX I had before this one never cut out, never. Do you think it has to do with the model of the Xbox? Most ppl I talk to on Xbox live say it's my internet, but my internet is still working fine on my computer so how could that be??
