Ok guys, I finally got 3.52 M33 installed and running. Again this is my first time. Now how do I get ISO game file to work? Do I need to download and install more stuff or does 3.52 M33 already come w. the necessary tools to run game iso files. Instructions please.
Thanks

I kind of read somewhere about Umd Emulator 0.8c & devhook. Do I need to install these programs to run the iso games. or will my 3.52m33 automatically read and load the iso? Also what folder do i drag the iso file to?

I don't have an ISO folder. Do I need to create one. Are there any special names I need to label it?

Yea, creat an ISO folder in the root of your memory stick. Since you are on 3.52 M33 just make sure the name of the ISO is small. For example, instead of having Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.iso just name it to Metal.iso. That's how I have it set up.

Hello. I'm also a newbie. Will this also work for a Japan Model with 3.50 firmware?

it doesn't matter what model you have, but if you are on 3.50 FW then you need to downgrade then install the custom FW 3.52 M33. to downgrade you need an unpatched version of Lumines UMD.
1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

Can't I just upgrade straight to FW 3.52 M33? Where can I find an unpatched Lumines UMD?

Why not go into recovery and enable 'sony np9660 no-UMD', then it doesn't matter if you havea UMD in or not.

To access recovery menu, press and hold the R shoulder button while turn on the psp from a cold boot.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

You need to insert a umd in the drive. Go to recover, disable NO-UMD.

It means from a complete shut down, the psp runs the boot-up sequence, displays SCE logo. As oppose to turn it on from stand-by mode.

I bought a psp with fw 3.5, downgraded to 1.5 via lumines, and then went to 3.4 oe-a.
i made an iso dir off of the PSP/GAME folder and put in an.iso game
went to the memory stick and it says it only has corrupted data. so is it my game or am i missing something.
thank you!

that's what i'm thinking. it seems there people compress them differently. i get game files in two different ways. 1 they are in lots of little files, then need to unrar or unzip, then it goes to a .iso large file. other way is that its just a large .iso file.
should be too hard?! but then i'm just moving that file (which takes for ever!) to the iso file under PSP/GAME. need to be sure that that file is all uppercase.
not sure what the problem is.

The problem is you are putting the file in the wrong location...After you extract the iso, it goes into the ISO folder in the root of your memory stick...If you dont have an ISO folder-format your memory stick from the PSP menu-one will be created for you...
