DMZ opens up every incoming and outgoing port of a device such as a PS2 or a computer. So basically once enabled and set to a device, it will then be able to connect to anything as every port is open.

Its located in your router, so you will have to login to it and enable the function, then input the ip address of the device you want it set on.

You will need to setup a static ip address for your ps2 with the network access disk. If your routers ip was for example: 192.168.0.1 then you would enter these details in the static address configuration via the network access disk. -

Ip address- 192.168.0.2

Subnet mask- 255.255.255.0 (is most common)

Defaukt gateway- 192.168.0.1

DNS server address- 192.168.0.1

There might be another box for the dns address, you can leave it blank.

Once thats all saved to mem card you enter the ps2's ip address into the dmz box in our router which is e.g. 192.168.0.2 then enable it.
