i have made 3 backups of DC3 and all of them freeze at the same point, im using a pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D & RITEK DVD-R 4x discs ive tried Nero & alcohol 120% all with the same prob!!! any tips greatly appreciated. Game loads up ok and begins to play but freezes when i open the large hanger shutter door.
Anyone else havin same prob or am i doing somethin wrong. this is my 1st attemp at backups.
Also how can i find out what mod chip is fitted in my xbox without opening it up??

Hi Slimgrip,
i think all of your backups are working corectly, because this is not a burning problem. I have the same problem from playing my backup from the hdd. So if i open the first door the game freezes. I think we ll need a patch for the game. Is anyone having a patch for dino crises 3 so that it works fine?

thanx dayzwalk,,, all my other backups work fine... dc3 was my 1st backup attempt and all others since have been fine :D

Hi,
no prob. i am just looking for a solution. i heard that all new games need to be patched
that they run correctly from hdd.
there is no prob if i run it from my
original game dvd. but i prefer to run
it from hdd.

Im running from a backed up dvd-r aint upgraded my xbox hdd as of yet

Hi mate, Ive got this too!!
I downloaded that version, burned it.. works perfect from my backup on my 1.2 Xbox with a Xecuter 2 chip installed. Well, Ive just made a copy of it for a friend with a 1.1 Xbox and a Xecuter2.3 Lite chip installed and it wont play from hdd or from the dvd backup?? Did you find a solution to your problems?? Im desperate, this is the only other place Ive found it documented.

Slim, if the game boots up and loads then freezes then it isn't a media flag. Your problem sounds like and IGR problem. You have all 3 In Game Reset "IGR" set to no in your evox settings menu right? Your clock is set correctly?

I cant vouch for him, but my clock is correctly set as seems to be the reason most people give, all IGR is off in all three areas of the settings. My copy also freezes in that same bit, it should skip to a movie, but it just stops.. By freeze I mean, it sits as if it doesnt know what to do next. There is gas coming from a pipe and that continues to move as gas comming out, sound is also still there (ambient music) but the controller is unresponsive and this cut scene doesnt start.

This game works fine!! I tried it on the dvd and the hd. You probally downloaded a bad copy!! Wish I could return this game. I am sure gonna try!

Like I have already said, the game works fine in one of my xboxs, and has exactly the same effect as these two in a different one. Do you think its just coincidence that I have the same issue with a game in exactly the same place, with a game I know myself works.
Please, were looking for help, not someone to say the game is fine just because it works for them.
