im thinking of buying xbox elite but i also wana use the firware to play my backup games and i was wonderding if it can be done also on the elite or do i need to buy the premium system.

I suppose it can be done on the elite, but you're definitely going to need to make a hardware modification to your DVD drive before you can flash it. I would recommend getting the premium unless you have any really good reason to get the elite
