here he prob.

i got a film in xvid about 690 megs , want to encode to vcd .( have got no prob. in encoding vcd using many prog. like vdub , tmpgenc ...)if im asking the question it's because im banging my head against the wall with that xvid.

1- i can play the movie with divx player
2- have d/l and install the latest xvid codec.
3- windows player and ati player can open the file but no video , just audio.
4-vdub open ok but no video.
5-tmpgenc same thing .all i got is some text (will not mention it) appearing on top,but the rest is black.(text also visible in divx player during the movie)

so what i did wrong ???

how can i got the video , then i can encode it in vcd .

any help ???

thanks a lot

For a complete listing of almost every codec required to watch a movie and the order to install them in... pay a visit to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608

And make sure you get the FDDSHOW. Works wonders for XviD movies.

I know why.... hehe. The reason (most likely) is because the XviD codecs, being open source and all, tend to conflict between each other and the order in which you install the codecs becomes utterly important
