I recently bought an xbox 360 on ebay and everything seems to be working fine..but it was a core system...so I ended up trying to purchase an xbox 360 hard drive on ebay as well so I have the memory and I can use xbox live.

I ended up buying one on ebay the 20G...the guy originally said he would supply me with a receipt but I never received the receipt, but I did receive the hard drive in perfect condition. My one concern is that the XBOX HD is stolen...could they trace the harddrive if i am using xbox live? what should I do?

nope, and it probably isn't stolen, i don't see how someone would steel one. and i don't think they track where hdd go since people switch them on to their cousins 360 when they go over to play games. so if they were tracked then you would be forced to use that hdd only on one console. and then the alarm would set off everytime you take it over to your friends house to play!
